Zoology is a discipline of biology that focuses on the evolution, categorization, habits, behaviours, and distribution of animals. It is an optional topic in a three-year degree programme in biology that covers the shape, function, and behaviour of animals and elucidates general biological principles via the study of specialised or experimentally tractable systems.
